First Thursday Club

'First Thursday club' is for the 50+ age group of ‘educated, travelled, interesting single men and women with verve’, for interaction at many planned social events across London .

There are many people in their 50’s and 60’s who live alone and who find it hard to expand their social circle at this stage of life, as in a city as busy as London it can be difficult to find the time and opportunity to meet new people.

Divorce, bereavement, corporate relocation or new-in-towners, are just some of the many ways in which people can become a little detached from having a good social life.

There will be a meeting on the first Thursday of every month, for drinks and tapas, or dinner and Theater/Concert. We do anticipate additional meetings for Jazz sessions, Horse racing, Museums, Rugby and Cricket matches, Spa days, day and weekend trips and more. Some of these will not necessarily fall on a Thursday. In addition, events can be arranged by our members for the other members, in conjunction with the club's organisers and all suggestions are most welcome.

We will be scheduling other interim events relevant to summertime, like BBQ's, Polo, Henley Regatta, outdoor concerts, Cricket, day trips to Paris for lunch, or a visit to the markets or Museums in Paris. These will be posted on the website in due course. Registered club members will be advised a via email minimum of 14 days in advance, of the exact location and times of all our events.

Whatever we do, we will have lots of fun and laughter and cultivate respect and good friendships!
